Currently link up, v2

Well, the bad news is that I am completing the second edition of the "Currently" link up from the hospital (and on my iPhone, so it isn't properly linked as I have no idea how to do that on here). But the good news is I am starting to feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel for Emmett's hospital stay. So here's where I am at, currently...

... Reading: so much! This is probably the only upside to spending 12+ days in hospital. My parents gave me a new kobo when we all realized we were in for the long haul here (well, they did.. I was in denial) and I have already read three novels.

Right now I am on to John Irving's latest, In One Person. I used to be a huge Irving fan (what's not to love about Owen Meaney or Cider House Rules) but lately it seems like every one of his novels is a semi-autobiographical, obsessive catalogue of the sexual obsessions of bisexual wrestlers. Just come out already,John!!

Loving: second upside to the hospital experience, unlimited cuddles with my new little man. I know I won't have this undivided time with him when We get home to Ollie and Chris and visitors, so I am just trying to appreciate soaking up all the snuggles.

Eating: so well! We have been so well taken care of by family and friends and can't believe how generous and thoughtful everyone is in this crisis. Our neighbors have been bringing meals to our house daily - we are starting to be over stocked! And we feel so grateful that we decided to stay in our smaller home in a great neighborhood.

Drinking: water and Gatorade. I currently consider myself to be a high-performance athlete.

Looking forward to: This one's obvious - having both my boys together under one roof!! Hopefully by the third edition of "currently".

  1. I know this must be so tough, but I am so impressed with how positive you've been (at least on the blog!). I'm soooooo looking forward to the post when you announce he's home!!

  2. So glad to hear that things are looking up for you guys! And I agree with Randalin, you are so positive, it's inspiring.

  3. You really are so strong and positive!
